Water Pass Great Wall

Shuiguan (Water Pass) Great Wall was built during 1368 – 1644, the Ming Dynasty. It located in Yanqing County in Beijing, not far away from the Badaling Great Wall. If you are a huge fan of the Great Wall climbing this is the precipitous section you don’t want to miss.

The wall was open to public in 1995 after repairs. Apart from climbing the wall, you can also take a walk to the Genghis Khan Palace, the Sideway, the Stone Buddha Temple, Camel Peak and the Great Wall Stele Forest nearby. And the well –known “之” shape railway by Sir Zhan Tianyou is not far away.

How to get there:

  • By bus: take bus no.919 and get off at Stone Buddha Temple station.
  • By car: take Badaling Expressway and exit from Shuiguan.
