Five Pagoda TempleFive Pagoda Temple is located north of Beijing Zoo in the Haidian District, Beijing. Actually, the real name of the temple is Zhenjue Temple as the name engraved in the entrance. Locals call it Five Pagoda Temple because of the five pagodas erected here.

The Five Pagoda Temple is an Indian-style temple which was first built in 1473. Today tourists visiting the temple can enjoy a special architectural style, both of the Indian pagoda and Chinese traditional ancient architecture. The temple no longer has monks and now is used as Beijing Stone Carving Museum and preserves more than 2000 pieces of art work.
