  • Avoid Peak Hours: The 8:30–10:30 AM slot is the busiest. Opt for 2:00–4:00 PM for fewer crowds (the museum closes at 5:00 PM in peak season, 4:30 PM in off-season).
  • Combine with Nearby Attractions: The Forbidden City is adjacent to Tiananmen Square and Jingshan Park—plan to visit them on the same day to save time (note: Tiananmen Square requires a separate ID check).
