Then we move on to the Forbidden City. The Forbidden City is the Imperial Palace which was home to 24 Emperors between 1420 and 1911. Great squares, halls and gates contrast with the intricate networks of side halls, gardens, courtyards and quarters for those who lived in this 'city within a city'.

Stepping out of the Forbidden City, you will have lunch at a good local restaurant.

Afterwards, continue the trip to hutong. Hutong is a maze of historic alleyways with old single storey traditional courtyard houses. Hop on a rickshaw to ride through the narrow alleys and visit a local family to experience the life of the local residents.

Different from the red and yellow colors of the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven is in red and blue because it is was the altar where the Emperor came every winter solstice to worship heaven and to solemnly pray for a good harvest.

What our customer say

Thank you very much for such a valuable and useful service. Our guide, Henry and our driver, Mr. I, were great. In the future, be assured we will use your service whenever and wherever it is available.

Burke from United States

The itinerary is detailed and has been fully organised to our satisfaction. You have been very helpful in organising this trip and have listened to our requested changes and amendments and fulfilled them without objection or any reluctance so that we have a trip tailored to our needs.

Jeffery from Australia

One of the events we really enjoyed was visiting the local people in their homes, tasting some of their local food and seeing how they live. There can be such a huge difference between our ways of life, and so it is even more special that your people will share with us their own life experience, and for that we were most appreciative.

Robert from New Zealand

We would like to take this opportunity to express our total satisfaction with the arrangements made for us by Lussie regarding our coming trip to China. She has been highly efficient, friendly, and thoughtful, showing meticulous attention to detail.

Alfred from United Kingdom
