Day 1Beijing Arrival

Our guide will pick you up at the airport and transfer you to your hotel by our private car/van. Take a rest at your hotel or explore the city by yourself for the remainder of the day.

Day 2Beijing

After breakfast, your guide will pick you up at your hotel and we will head to the largest city square - Tiananmen Square. Tiananmen Square is a landmark of Beijing City and significant to Chinese people as many national events and flag raising ceremonies are held here. After a stroll on the square, we will walk to the Forbidden City which was home to 24 emperors and forbidden to common people in ancient times. This mysterious imperial complex was unveiled to the public with its magnificent palace, majestic halls, ingenious gardens, glazed ornaments and countless treasures on display. You will enjoy authentic local dishes at a great local restaurant. In the afternoon, we will take you to see the historical Hutongs and courtyards where you will see the Beijing of yesterday. A family visit and interaction with local residents will give you an insight into local people's lifestyles. We have especially arranged a Chinese knot making class in Hutong for you and your lover. Chinese knots are a distinctive and traditional Chinese folk handicraft. Chinese knots can be made into various shapes to express different wishes including happiness, love and prosperity. The square shaped "True Love Knot" (Tongxinjie) is the most famous type of Chinese knot to express love and happiness.

Day 3Beijing

This morning, you will be taken to the Mutianyu Great Wall which enjoys a long history dating back to the Ming Dynasty. Mutianyu is characteristic in its unique structure with three watchtowers together and a superb landscape. A hike on Mutianyu takes about 2 hours and a cable car is available to help. Lunch is at a local restaurant near Mutianyu. You will have the chance to see the manufacture of Cloisonné at the biggest Cloisonné factory in Beijing. A professional body massage is waiting for you after trekking on the wall. Completely relax and take a break during the massage.

Day 4Beijing

Today's tour begins with the Temple of Heaven which was the place that the emperors came to pray for a good harvest every winter. Nowadays, it has become a park for local residents. You may see local people clustered together singing, dancing and doing exercises. Then we will proceed to visit the Summer Palace which is the best preserved imperial garden and renowned for its ingenious layout, majestic buildings and enchanting landscape. The most attractive sites are the enchanting Kunming Lake and the Seventeen-Arch Bridge over the lake. Taking a small boat on the lake can give you an overall view and will be enjoyable. After lunch at a great local restaurant, the rest of the day is free for you to have your own time together.

Day 5Beijing Departure
