Day 1Beijing Arrival

On your arrival at Beijing Airport, our tour guide will meet you at the Arrival Hall and transfer you to the hotel. The rest of the day is on your own arrangement.

Tian'anmen Square

Tian'anmen Square

After breakfast, visit Tiananmen Square to start your memorable Beijing Tour. Tian'anmen Square is the largest city square of the world in the centre of Beijing. It has great cultural significance as it was the site of several most important events in Chinese history. Continue to visit the Forbidden City which was home to 24 emperors between 1368 and 1911 in ancient China. This "city within a city" is the largest and the best preserved ancient imperial architecture complex in the world and was included into the World Heritage in 1987. Then proceed to the Treasure Houses. More than 440 treasures on display belonged to Qing dynasty royalty, half of which have not never been on display before. It's worthy of visiting. After that have a Chinese Lunch at Courtyard 7 Restaurant. Have a short break then go on to visit the Jingshan Park, another beautiful spot to visit. It’s covered in fruit trees, pines and cypress trees, the hill was originally made with the earth from the moat surrounding the Forbidden City. From the top you will see wonderful views of Beijing.Last stop of today is the Lizexiang Pearl Store. Here you will see how the pearl are produced including some of the latest technology and learn how to spot a fake. This is also a great opportunity to buy genuine pearls.

Mutianyu Great Wall

Mutianyu Great Wall

After breakfast visit the Mutianyu Great Wall. When you get there, a cable car will take you to a good section where you can walk along the wall, through the watch towers and enjoy superb views as it snakes across the hills and mountains. You can return to the foot of the hill by cable car as well. Then continue to visit the Dingling Tomb, where the whole five high palaces were made of stone. It is the tomb for the mausoleum of Emperor Zhu Yijun, the thirteenth emperor, and his two empresses. Chinese Lunch is at Xin Shuang Quan Restaurant which serves farmhouse dishes, specializing in rainbow trout, sturgeon and salmon. After lunch you will have an exterior visit of Beijing Olympic Stadiums included the Bird's Nest and Water Cube. It contains National museum, exhibition area, Olympic Village and Olympic competition avenues. After that visit the Cloisonne Factory, see how the beautiful cloisonnes are produced. There's a showroom that big or small and all objects are guaranteed. This is a popular place for those looking for special, quality souvenirs.

Day 4Beijing

After breakfast, take a boat ride in Summer Palace, which is the largest and best-preserved royal garden in China with a long history. You can enjoy the charming scenery of the lake by the ferry boat instead of walk. Then proceed to visit the Summer Palace. The lovely landscaped gardens, halls, pavilions and corridors around the lake will calm down your heart. Continue to visit the Beijing Zoo, initially named Ten Thousand Animal Garden which was built in 1908. It mainly exhibits wild and rare animals growing in China such as the Panda. At noon, you will have a Chinese Lunch at Xiao Long Pu Resort which serves a great variety of Chinese delicacies.

Temple of Heaven

Temple of Heaven

After breakfast, our guid will take you to visit the Temple of Heaven, which is a complex of Taoist buildings where emperors of Ming and Qing dynasties visited for annual ceremonies of pray for good harvests. It was enrolled as a World Heritage Site in 1998. Proceed to visit the Confucian Mansion, which served as the venue for commemorating Confucius and sacrificial ceremonies during the Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties. It’s the second largest of its kind in China, after the one in Qufu, Shandong Province. Then you will go to learn making a Chinese Paper Cut, a national handicraft with profound cultural connotations. It is an opportunity to make a traditional Chinese handicraft in the Hutong area and you can ask your teacher If you want to take home for memory. Then you will have a Hutong Tour in Xicheng District. Hutong is a maze of historic alleyways with old single storey traditional courtyard houses. Riding through the narrow alleys by rickshaw is a good choice for you. At noon, have a Chinese Lunch at Jing Mian Da Wang Restaurant which serves authentic dishes of Old Beijing fare - hand-pulled noodles, cold dishes, snack foods and more.
