Tour Details

Day 1Beijing to Xian by Flight.

Take a morning flight from Beijing to Xi'an and our guide will meet you at Xi'an airport and transfer you to your hotel downtown. The guide will help you with the checking in process. After a break, we will start out to explore Xi'an and the first spot will be the Terracotta Warriors and Horses. There are three pits opened to visitors. The No. 1 pit has over 6,000 excavated clay warriors and horses ranked in battle array and each with unique facial expressions. You can see the kneeling archer and the warrior with a saddled horse at the No.2 pit. The No.3 pit is regarded as a component of both Pit 1 and Pit 2. It is built in a unique shape and includes 68 terracotta warriors, four horses and one chariot in a special layout from the others. After lunch at a local restaurant, we will visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda which is a well preserved seven storied building dating back to the Tang Dynasty. It is a holy place for Buddhists and it stores many Buddhist materials brought back from India.

Day 2Xian to Beijing by Flight.

Our guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel lobby and we will head to the Shaanxi History Museum. The museum is a comprehensive treasure trove which houses more than 370,000 historical relics exhibited from prehistory to modern China. Stepping out of the museum, we will ascend the ancient City Wall. The City Wall, which retains its original features, is the most complete city wall that has survived in China. You can walk on the wall to feel its history or you can cycle on the wall. After lunch at a great local restaurant, we will continue our tour to the Hangyang Tomb which is the mausoleum of Western Han Emperor Liu Qi. It is the best preserved king's tomb and is famous for its rich collection of the terracotta figurines. You will be transferred to the airport to board your flight and your Xi'an tour comes to an end.
