Today's Activities: The Mutianyu Great Wall Hike, The Mutianyu Great Wall
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch, Chinese Dinner
Detailed Itinerary: Drive about 2 hours from Beijing to Mutianyu Great Wall. Hiking along Mutianyu Great Wall will take 3-4 hours. This less-crowded section of the Great Wall is 90km NE of Beijing. Walk along the wall, through the watch towers and enjoy superb views as it snakes across the hills and mountains. Wear good walking shoes and protection from the weather.

Day 3

Today's Activities: Hike from The Gubeikou-Jinshanling Great Wall, The Gubeikou Great Wall
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch, Chinese Dinner
Detailed Itinerary: Hike about 10km from Gubeikou to Jinshanlin Great Wall section will takes us about 5 hours. If the weather is good you could see Miyun Reservoir and the Wangjing Tower on the Simatai Section during the hike. A military area cuts the Great Wall and must be bypassed. This diversion goes through a friendly village and then hike directly to the Jinshanling section of the Wall. We will stay in Jingshanling hostel near the wall.

Day 4

Today's Activities: Hiking from the Jinshanling Great Wall to Simatai Great Wall
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch, Chinese Dinner

- Hiking from the Jinshanling Great Wall to Simatai Great Wall (4 hours): Jinshanling Great Wall section is an ideal place for hiking enthusiasts to test themselves against its steep gradients and to enjoy the landscape. Jinshanling to Simatai section is a distance of about 10 km. Only partly restored, it's less crowded, and provides a unique view of the Wall, watchtowers and magnificent scenery. A flying fox (optional) operates at the end of the hike to take hikers to the bottom. This provides a spectacular view of the scenery around and the reservoir under the cable car. Comfortable walking shoes and protection from the weather are a necessity.

Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch
Detailed Itinerary: - The Huangyaguan Great Wall Hike: Hiking along Huangyaguan Great Wall will take 2-3 hours. This precipitous wall clinging to the steep mountain has served as the guardian of Tianjin for centuries since its completion over 1,300 years ago. It is not dangerous, and features some interesting structures, such as watchtowers, parapets, and fire-pits!

- The Huangyaguan Great Wall: The Great Wall at Huangyaguan is characterized as being "impenetrable, dangerous, old and beautiful". Huangyaguan Great Wall was part of a complete fortification consisting of a four-gated fortress, and thick city walls. This precipitous wall clinging to the steep mountain has served as the guardian of Tianjin for centuries since its completion over 1,300 years ago. Sunsets at the Huangyaguan Great Wall, with the glorious reflection off the yellow cliffs, can be overwhelmingly beautiful.

Hiking Tips:

1. Wear walking shoes and clothes suitable for outdoor activities.

2. Don't forget to bring water, sunscreen, sun-glasses, and cap etc.

3. Spring and autumn are the best times, when the temperatures and humidity are lower.

We endeavor to ensure that a choice of western and Chinese breakfasts is supplied, however there may be occasions when only a Chinese breakfast is available in some remote locations.
    • Private Transfers:
      Transfers between airports, hotels and scenic spots while sightseeing in Beijing by private air conditioned vehicle with a driver and English-speaking guide (as listed above).
