Day 1Beijing Arrival

On your arrival in Beijing, our tour guide will meet you outside the arrival hall and transfer you to the hotel. The rest of the day is on your own arrangement.

Day 2Beijing
Forbidden City

Forbidden City

After breakfast, your tour guide will pick you up and drive you to the Tiananmen Square, the largest city square in the centre of Beijing. It has great cultural significance as it was the site of several key events in Chinese history. After that go to visit the Forbidden City which was home to 24 emperors between 1368 and 1911. This "city within a city" is the largest and the best preserved ancient imperial architecture complex in the world and it was included into the “World Heritage site” in 1987. Then you will proceed to the Treasure Houses, which has more than 440 treasures on display belonged to Qing dynasty royalty. At noon, lunch is at Courtyard 7 Restaurant where you may see the fusion of eastern and western culture and the food is delicious as well. Continue to visit the Jingshan Park which was a part of the Forbidden City until the early 1900's. It is well worth the climb on a clear day for spectacular views of the Forbidden City and Beijing. Last stop of today will be the Lizexiang Pearl Store, here you will see how pearls are produced including some of the latest technology and learn how to spot a fake. It’s also a good chance to buy genuine pearls.

Day 3Beijing

In the mornning, after breakfast you guide will transfer you to visit the Badaling Great Wall, which is a popular section and the first part of the Great Wall that opened to the public. The battlements and watchtowers are high and steep in places and provide wonderful views across the hills. You will have a chance to take a cable car round way to enjoy the wonderful views, which will take your breath.After getting to the foot of the hill, continue on to visit the Changling tomb, built in 1413 and is the principal and best preserved mausoleum among thirteen mausoleums. There are color paintings on the ceiling and golden brick paved earth, which all added magnificent atmosphere to the palace. At noon, have a Chinese lunch at Xin Shuang Quan Restaurant that mainly serves farmhouse dishes, specializing in rainbow trout, sturgeon and salmon. After a short break, go for a exterior visit of Beijing Olympic Stadiums such as the Bird's Nest and Water Cube. It contains National museum, exhibition area, Olympic Village and Olympic competition avenues. After that visit the Cloisonne Factory. Cloisonne is an intricate and detailed process dating back over 700 years, to produce fine enamel on a copper base. You can watch the workers at all stages of the process to see how these beautiful objects are produced. The show room is also a popular place for those looking for special and quality souvenirs.

After breakfast, begin your Hutong Tour in Xicheng District. Hutong is a maze of historic alleyways with old single storey traditional courtyard houses. In this one hour tour, you can hop on a rickshaw to ride through the narrow alleys as well as visiting a local family. After that enjoy a boat ride in Summer Palace which is the largest and best-preserved royal garden in China with a long history. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the lake by the ferry boat instead of walk. After around 20 minutes, go to visit the Summer Palace, the Much-loved summer retreat of the Imperial families and was included into the World Heritage Site. Lunch is at at Xiao Long Pu Resort which serves a great variety of Chinese delicacies. After lunch visit the old alleyways (Hutong) of the Xicheng District and walk along the bank of the beautiful Houhai lake area. Visit a local family in one of the traditional courtyard houses and learn to make Chinese dumplings. Then share the meal with them.

Day 5Beijing
Temple of Heaven

Temple of Heaven

After breakfast, your tour guide will take you to visit Temple of Heaven, built in 1420 and is a complex of Taoist buildings where emperors of Ming and Qing dynasties visited for annual ceremonies of pray for good harvests. Then proceed to visit the 798 Art District which has promoted to the nation's largest and most influential international arts in recent years. Nowadays it gradually developed into a gallery, the Arts Centre, artists'studios, design companies, fashion shops, bars and other catering space. After that you will have a Chinese Lunch at Jing Mian Da Wang Restaurant, which mainly serves authentic dishes of Old Beijing fare - hand-pulled noodles, cold dishes, snack foods and more. After a short breath, you will head for the Baigongfang Pearl Market which specializes in both freshwater and seawater pearls and has a reputation for selection and high quality. All kinds of pearl jewelry in different colors, shapes and sizes as well as famous Chinese traditional cosmetics pearl cream and pearl power are available.
