Day 2
Place & Transport: Beijing
Today's Activities: The Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Hutong Tour in Xicheng District, Li Heng Tang Pearl Store
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch at Beijing Ba Guo Bu Yi Restaurant
Detailed Itinerary: After breakfast, we will start the tour by visiting Tiananmen Square, which is the largest city square in the world. It is surrounded by many significant buildings.
Walking northward of the square, we will step into the Forbidden City which has been the imperial palace of 24 emperors during the Ming and Qing Dynasties (1368-1912). The Forbidden City is the best preserved imperial palace complex in the world.
After lunch at a local restaurant, we will stroll in the hutong area in Dongcheng District and take a rickshaw ride through the alleyway which vividly reflects the local life and the great change under the urban development.
Day 3
Place & Transport: Beijing
Today's Activities: The Mutianyu Great Wall(with round way cable car), Changling tomb, Cloisonne Factory
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch at Xin Shuang Quan Restaurant
Detailed Itinerary: The morning excursion takes you to one of the most beautiful sections of the Great Wall – Mutianyu. Mutianyu section is less crowded, yet enjoys superb views. A round trip cable car is available to help visitors up and down.
After lunch at a local restaurant near Mutianyu, we will continue to visit Changling Tomb, the chief Tomb of the 13 ming tombs. It is well preseved and houses abundent treasures and historical relics.
Day 4
Place & Transport: Beijing
Today's Activities: Temple of Heaven, Lama Temple, Beijing Zoo, Guozijian
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch at Courtyard 7 Restaurant
Detailed Itinerary: Today we will visit the Temple of Heaven. It was a holy altar where emperors of Ming and Qing dynasties prayed for good harvest every year.
Beijing Zoo is home to the national treasure - panda. You will see lovely pandas and many other animals.
Then we will head to the Lama Temple (Yonghe Monastrey). Lama Temple is one of the largest and most important Tibetan Buddhist monasteries in China. The beautiful halls and courtyards are thronged with devotees who come to worship or seek good luck every day.
Guozijian, is also named as the "Imperial Academy". This school was the supreme place of learning China's traditional educational system and an integral part of the Confucian system of education for government officials.
Lunch is at a local restaurant which serves anthentic Chinese food.
Day 5
Place & Transport: Beijing to Tianjin
Today's Activities: Summer Palace with boat Cruise and the Garden of Virtue and Harmony, Our guide and driver will escort you from Beijing to Tianjin
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch at Xibei Restaurant
Detailed Itinerary: Today you will visit the Summer Palace which is the largest and best preserved imperial natural landscape garden existing in China. A 10 minute boat cruise to get a a panoramic view will highlight your tour.
After lunch at a local restaurant, you will be transferred to Tianjing Cruise Port to board your ship.
