Day 2
Place & Transport: Beijing
Today's Activities: The Badaling Great Wall, , Sacred Way, Changling tomb, Shahe Cloisonne Factory
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch at Beijing Golden Palace International Restaurant, Chinese Dinner at Roasted Duck at Fangzhuang
Detailed Itinerary: Our guide will pick you up at your hotel. The first stop is the Badaling Great Wall which is around 2 hours' drive from downtown. Badaling section was the first section of the Great Wall opened to the public. Badaling Great Wall snakes across the hills and mountains. Walk along the walls to see its watchtowers and enjoy superb views.
Lunch is arranged at a local restaurant near Badaling. A Cloisonné Factory visit is included where you will see the manufacture procedure of Cloisonné. There is no pressure to buy.
In the afternoon, we will take you to the Sacred Way and the Changling Tomb. The Sacred Way leads to the Ming Tombs, bordered by 12 sets of animal and human statues, and includes the attractive Great Red Gate, housing a stele on the back of a tortoise and marble memorial archway. Changling is the tomb of Emperor Yongle, the third emperor of the Ming Dynasty whose personal name was Zhu Di, and of his empress.
A roast duck dinner is arranged at Quanjude. Beijing Roast Duck is renowned as the most delicious food of Beijing.
After dinner, you will be transferred to your hotel.
Day 3
Place & Transport: Beijing
Today's Activities: Tiananmen Square, The Forbidden City, Hutong Tour in Xicheng District, Treasure Houses, Li Heng Tang Pearl Store
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch at Courtyard 7 Restaurant
Detailed Itinerary: Our guide will pick you up at your hotel and we will first visit Tiananmen Square, which is the largest city square in China.
Stepping into the Forbidden City afterwards. The Forbidden City is the best perserved imperial place complex. There are many museums and exhibitions on display, both permanent and temporary. You will have the chance to see the Treasure Houses which houses more than 440 treasures of Qing dynasty on display.
Lunch is arranged at a local restaurant. A visit to a pearl shop is included.
In te afternoon, hop on a rickshaw to ride through the narrow hutong alleys. Interact with local residents by a local family visit included.
Day 4
Place & Transport: Depart Beijing, Flight not included
Today's Activities: Temple of Heaven, Exterior visit of Beijing Olympic Stadiums(Bird's Nest and Water Cube), Hotel to airport Transfer (Beijing)
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch at Traditional Mongolian Restaurant
Detailed Itinerary: Our guide will pick you up at your hotel. You will first visit the Temple of Heaven. It is a complex of Taoist buildings situated in the south-eastern part of central Beijing. The emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties came every year for annual ceremonies of praying for good harvest. Then you will have an exterior visit of Beijing Olympic Stadium.
After lunch at a local restaurant, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight.
