Beijing Museum of Natural History

Beijing Museum of Natural History was founded in 1951 and is the first large-scale museum of natural history. It covers a total area of 24,000 square meters and has rich collections and comprehensive exhibitions. It houses more than 5,000 specimens and over 200,000 items, which are displayed in the exhibition halls of Paleontology, Zoology and Botany. It has been one of a few museums of natural history in China and named as National Youth Science and Technology Education Base.
